  • eAsiaConferenceEntrance

by Jerry E Durant eAsia customer care (in green shirts – most are college students who donated their time). This is the main entrance into the conference facility.

  • eAsiaPanel

by Jerry E Durant One of many world class panel discussions that brought speakers from every corner of the globe; US, Canada, UK, India, Philippines, Korea and many-many more. These folks were there to discover but also to share their experiences in & with Bangladesh. Everyone was pleasantly surprised with the high quality of the event, super care and attention but more importantly the state of Bangladesh in the outsourcing context.

  • eAsiaWorldClassVisibility

by Jerry E Durant Banner display outside of the conference venue at eAsia 2011

  • AwardEventEntertainment

by Jerry E Durant A bit of local dance entertainment at the eAsia Award banquet.

  • eAsiaAwardMCs

by Jerry E Durant Award dinner, a combination of entertainment, good food and company recognition for their accomplishment. If you didn’t know it you would think this was something hosted in anyplace other than Bangladesh. It simply exemplifies how far Bangladesh has come up. I was pleasantly surprised and coined the slogan, “Bangladesh… expect the exceptionally unexpected”. Wonder if it will go viral?

  • DhakaHotel

by Jerry E Durant Great hotel, comfortable room and fantastic amenities. The eAsia desk staff was over the top. Most were college students who volunteered their time to lend service to the delegates. I can’t say enough about them, I love them all for their friendliness, laughter and super care. Wishing them all the best in their future (and careers).

  • DhakaStreet

by Jerry E Durant Street scene. Was a bit amazed that although considered to be an poor country that it was respectable clean, air quality was fair, but clearly attempts are being made to pull themselves up and not looking for others to provide a free handout.

  • DhakaLocalTransport

by Jerry E Durant Motorized Tricycle… one way to travel the busy streets of Dhaka.

  • MultinationalinDhaka

by Jerry E Durant One of many multi-nationals that have found their way to Dhaka. Sure it’s not the headquarters but their presence reflects a confirmed confidence in the workforce and the stability of the country.

  • DhakaBecomingModern

by Jerry E Durant Sections of Dhaka show how their present world is far from what Western images are of the country. Enjoyed some of the best Italian food at the Westin Hotel with Theea & his wife. But at the same time I had some of the best local Bangladesh food, eating in local fashion by hand. I think I would give both 5 stars, but for totally different reasons. 🙂
